Children love art almost as much as they love summer! Our summer camp creates a unique setting for a multi-aged group of young artists to spend warm summer days exploring new ways to paint, draw, make prints, sew, sculpt, and collaborate. Special trips to nearby parks provide campers with  artistic inspiration and valuable  unstructured time to enjoy each other’s company.

Other well loved activities include afternoon games, dance, walking field trips, and food projects. Most importantly, campers become familiar with important fine art techniques used in a variety of visual art forms. High quality materials are provided so that children learn the value of using superior tools and supplies. All participants are encouraged to explain the ideas behind their artwork and to articulate their creative process.

BASIC INFORMATION

Ages: 6-11 years
Cost: $365 per session.
All supplies, snacks, and trip fees included.
Time:  Camp runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Extended care is available until 5:00pm for an additional fee of $90 per week or $11 per hour for drop-in.
Duration: 1 week
Location: Sessions are held at 1019 Allston Way in West Berkeley (10th Street and Allston Way.)l
*Please enter through the side gate (“bird gate”) on 10th Street.

Each camper should bring an ample lunch, clothes that can get dirty, and a sweatshirt for cooler weather. 
Mid-morning snacks are provided. These are always organic and gluten-nut free.
